The Faces Of RHWH

Alyssa

My Name is Alyssa, I will be 16 in April.  I am part of a big family, 9 kids here on earth & 6 up in heaven in the arms of Jesus. I am a Christian, & believe that Christianity is more of a relationship with God then something you believe. James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." If you say you are a Christian to me your life better show it & people should be able to see the love of God through you!  That's just me though!  I have to amazing parents, that have supported me in everything I have ever wanted to do.  They have an unconditional love!  I'm homeschooled & a senior, school isn't one of my favorite things to do but it has to be done... Ya know what I mean?  Anywho!  I will share a little here for you about how I got started advocating though :)  I came across a little girl on Reece's Rainbow & she stole my heart, I then blogged for her till she found a family.  I then kept in contact with her parents, until she got home!  November 3rd was the day she came home!  Here is the baby doll I am talking about!  This is Clare-Bug!

She is my inspiration for all of the blogging I do.   God has blessed me with a tender heart & has opened my eyes to all of the injustice in this world.  He has called me to act upon it & make change.  I plan to do so till I die.  I have been blogging about orphans with Down syndrome & other special needs for over a year now.  But I want to venture into something else!  So I have decided to start Ready Hands, Willing Hearts with some friends of mine!   I am excited to see where God will take us! I hope you will join us on our journey, to change the world in any way that we can!  :)

Kaitlyn

Hello, I'm Kaitlyn a sixteen year old sophomore in high school. I come from a loving family of 16, two incredible parents, eight brothers & five sisters.  I'm the eldest of them all.  My photography is my passion.  I am a Jesus lover.  I've sold my heart to Him & He has captured my heart!  I'm a Christian, baptist & have a wonderful church family.  I enjoy writing in my prayer journal & studying the Bible.  It makes a huge improvement on me & my day! With out Jesus I'd be lost.  For. Sure.

Sonya Hinz, an ORPHAN NO MORE! :)
Around the age fourteen I really felt God pulling to my heart, telling me to help children with D/S & other disabilities.  Now I know you may be thinking that sounds absolutely crazy.  Once I was sitting in a waiting room waiting for my mother to come out of an apt.  She was expecting her 13th angel, Andrew.  While I was waiting a saw a woman with disabilities walk in with another woman helping her.  I tried pull myself out of the stare mode I was in watching the two.  I kept feeling like God was telling me to help her, or someone with disabilities.  Well okay..I was only fourteen, what could I do to help anyone?  Nothing, or so I thought.  I pushed the feelings I had aside & walked away.  A few weeks later I'm & see a child with D/S (I believe).  Again, I felt a tug at my heart telling me to help somehow..but what could I do?!   A few days later I woke up feel horrible with my heart racing at over 200 beats per minute.  The heart doctor had just confirmed that I had SVT (Something I was born with & that was only going to get worse the older I get, nothing life threatening.  Later on I had a procedure & have been doing awesome with it ever since) I was resting on the sofa in our living room when my mom was having the usual  Bible study lesson.  (We're home-schooled.) At the end of the lesson she took a moment to tell us about a family adopting a child with Down syndrome.  Requesting that we keep the orphans in our prayers, the more she told me the more that tugging at my heart feeling came harder on me!  Then I knew exactly how God wanted to use me in my younger years!    After my little heart racing spell, I jumped on the computer & went to www.ReecesRainbow.org looking for a child that God wanted me to help.  I took one look at this sweet innocent smile & knew with out she was the one I wanted to help, little miss Sonya.   She too had heart conditions that need medical care, only I'm pretty sure her conditions were worse then mine.  I took her onto my blog & began praying & sharing for her like crazy!   Then a few months later Sonya was one the My Family Found Me Page!

Sonya began it all!  I'm now helping in a wonderful blog/page, Rainbow Of Hope & our Facebook Page that continues to grow!  I also have a personal orphan advocating blog, www.SaveaLittleLife.blogspot.com Please check it out & follow.

To say I'm excited about beginning this new mission with my sisters in Christ, Ellyn & Alyssa would be a complete understatement! Theses girls are amazing & so passionate about this, I couldn't be happier to be working with them!  Since we're depending on people like yourself to donate money/items to help sponsor we hope you will take some time to help us.
